Ontario OINP Entrepreneur Stream

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) Entrepreneur Stream is designed for entrepreneurs who are interested in starting or acquiring, and actively managing, a business in Ontario. Entrepreneurs will come to Ontario on a temporary work permit, and be nominated for permanent residence once their business has been successfully established in Ontario.

Requirements & Specifications

The applicant must

• Have at least 2 years of full-time business or senior management experience in the last 5 years.
• Have a minimum net worth of either $800,000 if proposing a business venture in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), or $400,000 if proposing a business outside of the GTA, or in the ICT industry.
• Be willing to invest either $600,000 if investing in the GTA, or $200,000 if investing outside of the GTA, or in the ICT industry.
• Actively manage the proposed business in Ontario, and control at least 1/3 of the business' equity.
• Create 2 permanent full-time jobs if investing in the GTA, or 1 job if investing outside of the GTA, or in the ICT Industry.
• Score at least CLB 4 in either English or French (only required at the Application for Nomination stage).
